A TRUSTED NAME IN INVESTMENTS

Why should you invest in Teesside?

In the March of 2021, the Tees Valley area was one of the first places to be given Freeport status under the new Government initiative to create numerous Freeports across the country.
The Teesside Freeport is remarkably the largest in the country covering 4,500 acres and it endeavours to result in the creation of 18,000 jobs with a £3.2billlion enhancement over the next 5 years in the local economy.

What does this mean for an investor?

More investment opportunities

Simplified customs procedures, which reduces administrative burdens

Wide package of tax reliefs and tax incentives

Duty suspension on goods meaning there is potential for a higher return on investments

TEESSIDE AIRPORT

Following the recent investment of £23.6million, which has unlocked a £200million private sector investment, this has resulted in yet more potential for growth in the Teesside area. The investment amount mentioned will be spread over the next 10 years and will greatly benefit the area, but also create significant additional opportunities for other able investors.

Opportunities for property development.

Inward investment

Access to a multimillion-pound freight cargo facility.

Logistics and manufacturing space.

Commercial development opportunities.

Creation of jobs, therefore much more likely to make a healthy return on investment

HM TREASURY

The Budget of 2021 led to a colossal announcement for Teesside after it was publicised that Darlington would be the Treasury’s first major presence outside of Whitehall. The ‘Treasury North’ will house innumerable officials from ministries that include the departments for business, transport and local government.

This announcement is somewhat of a coup for the area and again provides ample opportunities for likely investors. When the government itself is heavily investing in Teesside and levelling up the playing field for the North, it shows that this is a prime location for other investors to come in and thrive in a location that has so much unlocked potential.

A further example of the government’s commitment to this area as a whole is typified in the multi-million pound investment pledge in both the Darlington and Middlesbrough train station, £105m and £34m respectively. Both of these sites will be hugely transformed and it will yet again add to the growing intrigue for investors to spend their money in an area that is financially and aesthetically appealing.
